SELLING SKILLS

Email Essentials
Be more persuasive, get better results and avoid being "e-nailed!"

Can you get to know someone through email? Well, yes and no. Email speaks volumes about leadership abilities. It lets readers know what you value; your data and your message or their needs, their agenda, their objectives. It tells people whether you use email to hide (what conversation am I avoiding?) or to persuade and influence.

Email is the single most used business communication tool today. Be certain that everyone on your team is on the same page and that everyone uses email appropriately, and professionally (and doesn't use it when they shouldn't!). Make sure your emails create impact not implosion!

Learn to email like an expert! The ability to create persuasive, professional email messages is the single most important business activity today. What and how you write impacts personal and professional success. And, because email lasts (almost) forever, what you say can and will hurt you! Learn to use email efficiently and effectively (and understand when to avoid using it!). Understand how to “invite” readers to buy into your ideas and give you the result you want.

Addresses these challenges (each program is designed to accomplish your specific meeting objectives):

  • How to use email to convey a professional image and concern for the reader
  • The differences between standard mail and email
  • What words to avoid and words that encourage results
  • How to be persuasive and motivate your reader to act
  • How to sound professional and represent the brand appropriately

Participants will:

  • See how a persuasive, professional email should look and sound
  • Focus on presenting themselves as professional partners
  • Write for connection -- not just to provide information
  • Eliminate embarrassing email behaviors, words and habits
  • Select the best communication tool for every communication

Who Should Attend:

Anyone who creates or responds to email.

Possible Titles/Blurbs/Additional ideas:

NEW! Use Email to Sell with Impact
Write emails that beat the competition. Show your customers and prospects that you care about their success. Move away from writing dull emails (Ex. Thank you for your time on the phone today) to writing exciting, customer-centric messages. Enjoy an overview of cutting-edge email techniques in 60 minutes or spend time applying them in a 90 minute to 3 hour session. You'll never look at email the same again!

NEW! Email: Is It Working For You?
Amazingly, 50% of people overestimate their ability to write and correctly interpret email messages they receive (NYU Stern School of Business). Are your messages working for you — or against? This program covers everything your team must know to email, txt or IM —and get the results and respect they deserve. You'll laugh at your "email-iness" and transform the way you communicate.

NEW! What's in Your Email? Be Safe, Smart and Savvy!
It's no secret that what you say in an email can — and will — hurt you and your company's reputation. Take SpeakerSue's advice and limit the chance that what you or anyone in your organization writes will ever come back to bite. Here is some food for thought: Do you know why a joke sent about a blond, brunette and redhead was the basis for a hostile work environment lawsuit? Here's more: Email is the communication tool today. Give your team the tools to write safe, smart and savvy. Change your "email-itude" and grow your business.

NEW! So Many Emails, So Little Time! How to Manage Your Inbox and Boost Productivity
Alternate title: It's Hard to Make a Sale When You're Buried in Email!
Too many emails clogging up your inbox? You're not alone. Boost your productivity by learning email secrets so that you can quickly read, write, file and retrieve your emessages. Help your recipients give you the response you want by saving them time too. Discover what you can do to shave an hour or more of email writing off your day!

NEW! Leave Out the Parts People Skip and Other Email Wisdom!
Don't fool yourself. Just as we read and write email while we're on the phone and eating lunch, so do they! Make it easy for them to get your point by writing in a customer-focused, concise, professional style. Recent Vanderbilt University shows how people who don't know us, make very quick guesses about our level within our organization and about our overall abilities, by reading our emails. So, just leave out the parts they aren't interested in and that only matter to your mama! Fun, energetic and an absolute must schedule workshop for every level within your organization.
